It's fascinating how each year at the stroke of midnight on December 31st, the beginning of New Year happens. If you live in the cities, there's even a count down before the ball drops such as in New York City or a bunch of fireworks burst in the sky.
However, I think the concept of making new year resolutions, tends to not go as people plan. It is easy to say in the new year, I am going to be more like.... or I am going to be... or any other form in which implies immediate drastic change. A popular one is exercise or dieting, or becoming more financially rich, but it takes time, dedication and effort.
It is easy to make a New Years resolution, what's harder is following it. What's harder is to live every day with this promise you may have written down, spoken out loud, either to yourself and others, or as a whisper. So much pressure is created on creating resolutions for the new year. I always would suggest going slowly. Easing into the new routine, or diet, or any change, when it can be controlled. Take your time.
You can always make goals now, or later. They can change too. There's never not a perfect time to make new resolutions and try to live by them. Don't always wait for the New Year.
Peace, Love, and may 2021 make all your dreams, goals and aspirations come true,
Jeena
